POLLINATOR NETWORK SIGNUP

The Pollinator Network is a communication network where community members, organizations, and community leaders can come together to share ideas, volunteer, and learn more from each other. The long-term goal of this program is to understand the current health of each environmental sector and then develop a collective vision with accountable metrics that we can use to guide the region in conservation efforts.

We will focus community member-driven committees that advocate for a learning, action, and movement network within the following environmental sectors:

  • Food Systems
  • Air & Water Quality Management
  • Canopy & Land Management
  • Green Buildings & Practices
  • Sustainable Fashion & Products
  • Travel & Transportation

And their impact on the other environmental sectors, resilience, equity & access, effects on public health, policy recommendations, waste reduction, energy use, and educational & organizational support.

Root Local is seeking community members who are interested in engaging with one or more of the listed environmental sectors by volunteering and discussing information, opportunities, and news. Root Local is offering two volunteer positions: Committee Leaders and Committee Members.

Committee Leaders

Committee Leaders assist and co-lead the three methods of engagement for one of the Pollinator Network committees: Learning - Action - Movement. Along with Root Local’s Executive Director, Committee Leaders will promote an open, inclusive, and transparent Pollinator Network committee that strives to develop a shared vision and metrics for the metro region.

We currently have the following positions available:

Committee Members

Committee members are those who are interested in learning and sharing their ideas for one or more of the environmental sectors. These members will be able subscribe to an online platform where they will have access to collaborate and share ideas, join volunteer opportunities for local organizations, and join in educational sessions that promote deep discussion of that sector.
