Root Local is gathering data on how metro Atlanta can reduce the use of environmentally high-impact transportation methods and promote more sustainable options. Our Travel & Transport committee project for 2023 is ATL Bikes - a celebration of Atlanta’s bike culture, group rides, and support for micro-mobile infrastructure transformation. We are starting this project by creating a collection of photos and videos that highlight local trails in and around metro Atlanta.
Share Your Ride
We want to hear your trail story! Follow these steps to share!
- Start with finding a trail near you: see the map of local trails
- Load up your gear and explore on your local trails via biking, hiking or a leisurely walk
- Take videos and photos of your experience on the trails. We would love to see what you see: the great, not so great, and the unbelievably great.
- Submit Your Trail Story or post on your social media with the tag @atlbikes_ and #atlbikes
Everybody Rides
@atlbikes_ shows that biking is inclusive and for everybody of all ages, shapes, and sizes. We want to highlight people who bike, why they bike, and how they bike.
